Not Today

Another morning and no baby but we do have a more crampy and achey mom-to-be. So, maybe Eleanor is on the move, getting everything all ready for her appearance in the next day or two. (Kelly does not expect her to be born today because April 20 has some negative connotations -- Hitler's birthday, Columbine, etc. -- and Eleanor would not want her birthday to be on this day!)

At least Eleanor's "delay" has given us extra time to enjoy our favorite area food, including another breakfast at Toojays as well as goodies (black and white cookies, rugelach and napoleons) to take home for later.

Kelly and I ran back to Old Navy to pick up a couple of things we didn't get on the first visit. It's nice for her to have a few new things to squeeze into now and then wear right after Eleanor is born. You get so tired of wearing the same old stuff.

Kelly tried some castor oil again last night in her "favorite" concoction, where it is made like a bloody mary. The thought of it, and the making of the drink is even worse for her than actually getting it down, which she said went better this time with her nose closed. It makes me kind of sick myself just thinking about it. She did get the usual results a few hours later, and some contractions throughout the night. We can hope some good inner work is taking place! Kelly said it was the second night she was tossing and turning, and moaning and groaning all night. Luckily, she can nap when she needs to now that she isn't working.

Come on Eleanor -- the 21st seems like a great day for a birthday!!
