I know Kelly really hoped yesterday would be the day she would meet little Eleanor. But Eleanor had other ideas.
It's so hard to wait, and you have no control over when your baby will be born, unless you are the type who wants medical intervention. It's no wonder there are so many inductions these days (I think 70 to 90% in some places!!). Doctors, wanting to control and totally medicalize birth, take advantage of the way women feel at the end of pregnancy. So ready to be over it, and so ready to hold their baby in their arms instead of hidden inside their bellies.
Despite all the natural ways to induce, it's still in the baby's control. And, in rational times you know that's the way it should be.
