We decided to take a little trip to Wekiwa Springs State Park so Kelly could do a little swimming. As you can see, it's gorgeous there -- very old-time Florida. It is (a cold) 72 degrees year-round, which is perfect on the hottest Florida days, but was pretty chilly yesterday when the outside temperature was only near 80 degrees and it was partly cloudy. Nevertheless, Kelly took the plunge (slowly), giving Eleanor a bit of a chill, and swam around for quite some time. (Swimming belly down, especially the breast stroke, is supposed to help your baby get in an optimal position for birth.) And then after all that exercise there were all those steps to get back to the car. Pretty exhausting when you are full-term! Tiring for me too! Luckily, now that Kelly isn't working she can take a nice long nap, and she did.
So, Kelly is very well rested now and ready to have Eleanor. After all that napping yesterday she slept til 9:30 this morning, which is really late for her. I thought maybe she had been up a lot last night, but she hadn't. I had a dream that her water broke, which never happened to me until I was close to pushing. She does feel like maybe something was happening last night, but whatever it was she slept through it. A storm is brewing today so she's hoping the drop in barometric pressure brings on labor. We will see!
